The Fund’s investment strategy includes the acquisition of rustic and/or mixed agricultural land holdings which bring together the proper conditions for the development of projects which focus on the following activities:

1. The production and exploration of the forest, based on replanting new stands and the management of existing stands, with special emphasis placed on the species, Maritime Pine (Pinus pinaster);
2. Tourism-based entertainment and activity related to Nature Tourism, Cultural Tourism in the rural setting, and open-air sports activities, including the acquisition and adaptation of urban buildings intended to support these activities;
3. Management and exploration of concessions zones for tourism-based hunting in areas held by the Fund;
4. Promoting the production and exploration of all the woodland resources growing/available in the areas held by the Fund;
5. Rental of areas for use to others which does not come in conflict with forest and forest management use.

In the interest of minimizing the risks of forest fires, the Fund shows great diversity with respect to the properties it invests in – namely in geographical terms, with sites located throughout the Center and North of the country, and with respect to the forest species selected. We also pay particular careful attention to forest fire prevention in our asset management focus. The Fund’s investment policy will always be based on the objective of bringing together a variety of sites into the Fund for exploration, given that their selection justifies said exploration of the forest in economic and environmental terms, mainly through the re-parceling of agricultural land and holdings, which in isolation, would be unsuitable for exploration on their own.
